A question about student loans?

First, if you have not already filled out your FAFSA, do so. Not only does your EFC, or Estimated Family Contribution number determine your Pell Grant amount, ( which has increased this year to $5350.00) but it can help secure you some low interest subsidized student loans. While loans are a great benefit for students seeking financial funding for their educational goals, they should always be a last resort. Check out this website. www.federalstudentaid.ed.gov This is the official site for the federal financial aid and will be full of juicy information about loans, interest rates, when you have to re-pay and additional grants and aid you may not be aware of that can really help your funding issues. There are some great lending groups out there and I would stick to the federal financial aid site to help direct you. They do not want you getting into debt because you have educational dreams and it offers a lot of great advice, and information. Good luck!
