Is something wrong with my iPod Touch?

I have a pword set on my iPod to fend off sticky fingers, and I use the same pword every time. It's only 3 letters long. Yet for some reason, my iPod suddenly tells me that the pword is incorrect, and I've tried many different possible typos just in case. Could there be something wrong with the software?
