My Turkish boyfriend is in the military in Istanbul but I live in Thailand. I miss him! What should I do?

My Turkish boyfriend is in the military in Istanbul, Turkey but I live in Bangkok, Thailand. I really miss him so freaking much but I can't even fly to him. I know it's such a stupid question but I'd love to ask for any suggestions what should I do to get out of a bad feeling? Should I write him a letter or anything? =(
